High Holy Day Registration
For High Holy Days 2025/5786, PJTC will provide links for our services and programs sent to the email address connected with this registration form. If for any reason you are unable to attend in person, you will have access via Zoom.
You may register up to 10 people in a family/group at a time. If your group has more than 10 people, please call the office at 626-798-1161.
For security purposes, we need full names for each member of your group.
PJTC MEMBERSHIP
PJTC would love to provide you with the gift of first year membership, which includes free High Holiday general seating tickets for all members of your household. All members are assessed a security fee ($125/single and $250/family) to help ensure the safety of our community. The purpose of a gift membership is to try us out, so we do not require any dues your first fiscal year--if you join before or during the High Holidays to enjoy the benefits of free tickets, that means free dues through June 30 and enjoying all the other benefits  of membership for the full fiscal year.  If you would like to learn more about the community/discuss membership, contact Executive Director Melissa Levy, Melissa@pjtc.net.

Our Membership Registration form can be completed HERE. A full explanation of dues and other fees can be found HERE.

HIGH HOLY VOLUNTEERING
Yes, we need this even in rental spaces!

LULAV AND ETROG SET ORDER
Shaking the Lulav and Etrog (palm frond and yellow citron fruit) is a lovely traditional ritual of the Sukkot holiday. We are pleased to make these sets available by order.  Please indicate the number and types of sets.

Orders must be sent in by September 24.  You will be notified when your order is available for pick-up at PJTC.

BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE ORDER
It is the custom of our congregation to publish a Book of Remembrance in which we list the names of those in our circle of family and friends who have passed away. We invite your participation in this cherished tradition. If PJTC sent out a notice of your loved one's passing to the congregation this past year, the name will be automatically added.

Donation is $36 for each name/to receive a copy.

During the Main Services (Rosh Hashanah & Yom Kippur)
You have many options for your children at PJTC!
  • PreK-7th grade may attend Junior Congregation with a reservation on Erev Rosh Hashanah, Rosh Hashanah Day 1, Erev Yom Kippur, and Yom Kippur morning. Your children can look forward to games, education, singing, and playing (FREE for PJTC members, $36 suggested donation per service for non-members). Junior Congregation is run by our religious school teachers. Parents will check their children in at the Jr Congregation check-in table, located right next to the adult check-in tables.
  • The Quiet Room - indoor, air conditioned environment for families with very young children who need a break for nursing or quiet time-- adults are able to watch services from the tv provided.
  • Children are welcome at all times in the main service as long as their adult is with them.

Family Programming
We also encourage you to join us for a Rosh Hashanah Family Service on Thursday at 5pm right before Tashlich at the LA Arboretum, a Yom Kippur Family Service at 4pm in Beckman Auditorium at CalTech, and a DJ'd Simchat Torah Party with food and dancing on Tuesday evening October 14 at 530PM.  We also have monthly Singalong Shabbat programming for families with children ages 0-7, and other family-friendly events throughout the year.

ANNUAL APPEAL - LEADING WITH GRATITUDE

This year, more than ever, we feel the power and purpose of community. In the aftermath of the Eaton Fire, we’ve come together with strength and compassion to care for one another and begin the work of healing and rebuilding. Seventy PJTC families and countless extended family members and neighbors were affected, and our community rallied around them with shelter, meals, information resources, and care. As we enter this season of reflection and renewal, we invite you to be part of sustaining PJTC for the year ahead.

Membership dues cover only about 40% of our annual budget. The rest comes from the generosity of members like you—those who give from the heart to ensure our community continues to thrive. Our Annual Appeal is one of the most important opportunities to support our synagogue, and every contribution—no matter the size—truly makes a difference.

For those who are able, we invite you to consider joining the PJTC Guardians, a spirited and generous group that pledges $1,000 or more beyond their dues. Your support at this level helps us meet today’s challenges and invest in the future of our Jewish home. For more about the Guardians or to set up monthly payments, please contact Melissa@pjtc.net or visit our website.

Make Your Gift Today:

You can make your Annual Appeal gift here while registering for High Holy Days! We accept contributions by credit card, ACH, check, and securities. If you need assistance setting up monthly payments, contact Theresa@pjtc.net.

To add some fun to our Annual Appeal and show off your PJTC pride, we’re introducing the PJTC Fire Relief Shop! It’s our way of saying thank you—and reminding each other that we are strong, and we are here to stay.

Here’s how it works:

Make a donation and receive special PJTC swag as a token of our gratitude:

$180 – Receive a PJTC mug!

$360 – Receive a PJTC water bottle!

$720 – Receive a PJTC shirt of your choice!

$1000+ – Receive a PJTC hat, a special PJTC Guardians item, and Guardians recognition!

Want more or different swag? You can also purchase additional
Fire Relief Shop items to share with family and friends—this shop is not primarily a fundraiser, though PJTC gets a share of the profits. It's mainly about reminding each other that We Are Here and that we are #pjtcstrong

Thank you for standing with us—with hope, heart, and commitment—as we renew and rebuild together.
