Engagement - November

Dear PJTC Family,

As we come off of the High Holy Days, I'm filled with gratitude for this community. We gathered for over a dozen services, for tashlich, for many many Sukkot dinners off and on campus, for a giant Simchat Torah party. The clergy have lifted our spirits at services, and the hoards of screaming/laughing/dancing children at our programming have lifted our smiles and hope for the future.

Over 60 PJTC families filled out our Centennial Time Capsule Questionnaire as we look forward to November 12's event that brings the old and the new together: we're once again honoring new members with Havdalah and a free BBQ sponsored by Sisterhood and Men's Club, and we're also honoring our history and those who have put decade after decade into this community with our Time Capsule Dedication.

In December, I'm so thankful the Whitman Family is sponsoring a FREE Hanukkah Dinner and celebration on Sunday, December 18. Look forward to adults-only learning as well as family-friendly fun. We're also planning a few small backyard Hanukkah gatherings to round out the week.

As I write this, I'm getting ready to go on maternity leave for Baby Levy #2. I will be out approximately mid/late November through mid/late February. I'm so excited to expand our family and so grateful for the support you've all shown me. I'm also thankful to the PJTC staff and lay leaders who have tried to help me slow down during such a busy time in our synagogue! Should you have any questions while I'm out, you can contact Theresa (theresa@pjtc.net) and Rabbi Aimee (rabbiaimee@pjtc.net) and either of them will be able to direct you to the appropriate staff member or volunteer to help.

Warmly,

Melissa
