During the past month the Men's Club has been active in our annual membership drive and putting the final touches on several upcoming event plans.

We are glad to tell you that our membership drive is proceeding quite well and we have signed up several new members, but we need all of our existing members to renew their memberships to make this year really successful. On August 18th. we had a good turnout for our Sofi Stadium tour. This was the first off campus event we have sponsored in many years and I am glad to say that everyone who took the tour was very impressed with the stadium and had a good time. Based on the success of this event we will be planning future off campus events to give our members the opportunity to explore and learn about interesting places and provide an opportunity for your children and grandchildren to join in on the experience.

As I write this article we still have a couple of events to enjoy in August including our annual Pancake Breakfast on August 28th. at 9 am on the Katz Terrace to celebrate the opening day of religious school for this year. All LBSRS children, parents and teachers are invited to join us and enjoy a meal before going to class. LBSRS children are free, parent donations are appreciated.

Also, on August 28th. starting at 1 pm, the Men's Club will be hosting pool party for USY members at the home of Stu and Stacy Miller. We will have a lunch BBQ, swimming and other activities so mark your calendars for this event if you are a USY member.

Finally, our next scheduled event will be a joint Men's Club/Sisterhood "Campus Beautification Day" scheduled for September 18th. starting at 9 am. We are bringing back an old tradition of having a volunteer cleanup day at the Temple. Everyone is invited to volunteer for this event to spruce up the campus and enjoy food and refreshments provided by the Men's Club and Sisterhood. We will be providing more details about this event via a flyer to be sent out soon.
