Member Recognition Corner - July

Your fellow PJTC congregants wish to recognize:

  • Louise Wannier, whose children’s book Tree Spirits has won The Clara J. Johns Literary Award 2022 for “Most Creative Book.”
  • Kristine Garroway, Rabbi Jason Mann, Bert Hayden and Jesse Duker for leading fabulous late night educational sessions at our Tikkun Leil Shavuot Program. The PJTC 20s & 30s group for preparing delicious Shavuot-themed late night bites.
  • Louise Wannier: For her steadfast support of our Shabbat Meditation group for the last two and a half years
    as well as her leadership in the Rosh Hodesh program and her many contributions to PJTC over many years.
  • PJTC USYer Noah Kronsburg on his election to the Far West USY Regional Cabinet as Religion/Education Vice President. Noah is the first member from PJTC to be elected to a Regional Cabinet position, and we know he'll make us proud. 
  • The 2021-2022 PJTC USY Board on receiving "Chapter of Excellence" status at USY Regional Convention. This is the most prestigious award a chapter can receive in our region.
  • Emily Fischer on her engagement to Primo Catalano!
  • Aty Rotter for assisting with grocery shopping, set-up and clean-up for the Centennial Weekend Shabbat special Oneg hosted by Sisterhood. Patricia Bunin for participating in Sisterhood’s June Rosh Chodesh as our featured speaker, sharing wonderful stories past and present. Kathy Kobayashi for 30+ years of leadership with creating Torah flower crowns for Shavuot services. Michele Browning for assuming leadership in creating Torah flower crowns for Shavuot services. All the wonderful Sisterhood members who joined in creating Torah flower crowns at the home of Nancy Carlton for this year’s Shavuot services at PJTC. Kristine Garroway for handling the Oneg Shabbat on behalf of Sisterhood on June 17 (Friday). Generous Sisterhood members Sue Hogan (lasagna), Franci Levine-Grater (fruit), Jan Pais (salad), Debby Singer (pizza) and Carol Zorn (dessert) for bringing lunch to the Women’s Room clients on June 16 (Thursday). Jane Hirshkowitz for handling the Oneg Shabbat on behalf of Sisterhood on June 24 (Friday).
