Alina Adams, Author of The Nesting Dolls: A Russian-Jewish Family Saga
The Nesting Dolls is the story of three generations of Soviet-Jewish women, each trying to survive and find love in three distinctly different time periods: the 1930s of Stalin's Great Terror in Siberia, the 1970s of the Refusnik movement in Odessa, USSR, and present day Brighton Beach, Brooklyn. It's a story of how each generation struggles to make themselves understood by the next, and how the decisions of mothers echoed on in their daughters and granddaughters.
