Havdalah Honoring New Members

I was thrilled to see over 140 of your smiling faces on November 13 for our Havdalah Honoring New Members! I was amazed and so moved by the diversity of congregants in attendance--from the newest of new members to those who have been members for over 50 years, all schmoozing and sharing their stories with each other. Many thanks to Men's Club and Sisterhood for cooking and serving us a delicious kosher BBQ dinner, and to so many who donated both money and time to make this event a success. After a beautiful Havdalah ceremony whose circle spanned across the entirety of Katz Terrace, we split the crowd into newer members and seasoned members to play a little "speed dating" game before dinner. Children (and a few adults!) enjoyed the epic bounce house. We made Hanukkah cards, havdallah candles and spice bags to take home. I loved seeing such warm vibes from all of you. Clearly everyone was so excited to be back together!

So, let's keep the momentum going! Lots of opportunities to come together for Hanukkah. I hope you've signed up for one of our neighborhood Hanukkah gatherings, hosted in the backyards of congregants all over the San Gabriel Valley. Perhaps you're able to join us at PJTC for our Hanukkkah Party and Outdoor Movie Night on Saturday December 4?  Or, stay virtual for the Hanukkah-themed Social Hall on Thursday, December 2. Let's rekindle our sparks and rededicate ourselves to community this holiday season.
