Men's Club December 2021

The Men's Club Veterans Day event was held in person (yay) featuring the US Marine Color Guard, a beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled Banner and Haktikvah performed by Sarah and Jon Weisz and our featured speaker, US Army Veteran and current member of the California Army National Guard, Ethan Morse, who was the writer/producer of the Documentary "The Unknowns," the story of the formation, training and duties of a member of the Ceremonial Guards of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.

If you couldn't join us, here's the LINK to the program so you can watch it.

Also here are the links to both the trailer and the actual movie. I think you'll find them fascinating.

On Saturday, November 13, Mens Club co-sponsored the New    Member Havdallah,  Over 140 folks attended and feasted on burgers and hotdogs (kosher and vegetarian varieties), all skillfully prepared by Men’s Club VP of Programs Jack Singer, Membership VP Stu Miller, Treasurer Jon Weisz, Past President Erich Schlecht, and board members Josh Pais, Lou Friedman and Ira Blitz. All the fixin’s were provided by another co-sponsor, PJTC Sisterhood. Please find photos throughout the Flame of this amazing event.

Join the PJTC Men’s Club and Sisterhood’s co-sponsored Social Hall on December 9, 2021, when we will be reviewing the latest information on the developments related to Covid. Our speakers are Dr. Kim Shriner, an Infectious Disease specialist, and Pediatrician Dr. Jonathan Weisz, a former PJTC President. We’re covering all age groups with these two experts. Please bring your questions!

Final plans are in the works for the (hopeful) return of our FAMOUS back-to-school pancake breakfast. More information to follow.

To keep everyone updated about our current Football Pool, here are the names of the most recent winners:  Steve Hartford, Jesse Duker, John Carlton, Steven Roth, Lou Friedman and Jack Singer. Sorry there aren’t more of you.

Please continue to support Men's Club by attending our programs and becoming a member so we can continue to provide financial support to the many Jewish Youth organizations in the Greater San Gabriel Valley. https://givingtools.com/give/389/40
