PJTC Board Report

May 2021 Board Report

The Board of Directors met on April 26 and received a presentation from Sandy Hartford and Alan Whitman regarding the L’Dor V’Dor fund/foundation. After an introduction by Hartford, Whitman explained that the current allocation blend is roughly 60% to equity, 40% to fixed income, although he has discretion to alter that as he sees fit. Howard Landau and Carl Selkin urged the board to direct Whitman to allocate all of the fund’s equities to “sustainable equity funds” and explained the proposal.

Cantor Ruth Berman Harris provided update on the Kallah project, funded by a grant, and a Kallah gathering planned for next year — May 6-8, 2022 (SAVE THE DATE). Cantor explained formation of a committee to assist with planning for this and interested in hearing from individuals who are interested in serving on the committee.

Finally, the board received a presentation, including a PowerPoint presentation, from the Task Force on Capital Campaign Construction. Task force chair Michelle Browning, together with members Todd Levine and Vanessa Silberman, presented their proposals for projects to be funded through the planned capital campaign.
