Men's Club: Doing What We Do Best!

Hello PJTC!

With vaccines on everyone’s mind, Men’s Club hosted the PJTC social hall on February 9, 2021 featuring City of Hope’s Dr. Don Diamond, a leading expert in vaccines for infectious diseases. Did you know that he’s spearheading the research on another Covid-19 vaccine? Well, you do now! We recorded the evening’s discussion and you can access it by following this link: https://youtu.be/7g5kw9FyHmE.

Mark you calendars for these upcoming events:

  • On March 2, the PJTC Town Hall will be featuring yours truly, along with Judge Joe Widman. We’ll be discussing everything Judicial in the Los Angeles and San Bernardino Superior Courts. Topics will include how the pandemic has affected criminal, civil, and family court proceedings, how one becomes a Judge, how do you know who to vote for in Judicial elections, etc. Bring your questions to this “ask-a-judge” event.
  • Did you know that the US, China and the UAE all currently have missions to Mars? On March 10, 2021 Men’s Club will be hosting a special mid-week event featuring Dr. Louis Friedman (esteemed author, co-founder of the Planetary Society and a Men’s Club VP) who will be discussing each country’s mission AND Daniel Zayas, Engineering Operations Team Chief @ JPL, who oversees the systems of Perseverance, the Mars Rover. Want to know what it’s like to drive a vehicle on Mars? Daniel will (hopefully) have the answer to this and other fascinating tidbits about the Red Planet
  • MARCH MADNESS IS BACK and Men’s Club will be conducting it’s first ever tournament pool. Find details how to enter here: https://conta.cc/3k1Yr3o.
  • Sunday evening of May 16 is the Men’s Club event of the year when we will present our “Service to the Community” Awards. Our deserving recipients are former Pasadena Mayor Terry Tornek and Past President of both PJTC and Federation, Marcia Alper. As a special guest, Congressman Adam Schiff will present a report from the 28th Congressional District and will conduct a Q&A Town Hall style. More information will be coming soon, including how to order a delicious meal and wine so we can all sit down and enjoy each other’s company. A truly unique and special event for sure!

Here’s wishing all an early Chag Sameach!
