Daniel Platt
Office Manager, LBSRS
Daniel Platt performs a wide variety of functions at LBSRS, such as managing logistics, procuring supplies, editing the weekly newsletter, documenting school activities with photos and videos, acting as “Lord of the Snacks” and, most importantly, being the guy that makes sure things get done. His professional background includes various Office Supervisor, Editor/Proofreader and Administrative Assistant positions, along with his creative career history as a professional musician, music teacher, choral conductor, poetry translator, video editor, author, and graphic artist.
Outside of LBSRS, Daniel has composed classical music and performed in many jazz and R&B bands, including a one-nighter with the latest version of the Supremes on Valentine's Day of this year. He hopes that his lasting legacy will be his extensive translations of works by the great German Jewish poet, Heinrich Heine, including the epic poem "Atta Troll." For now, he is happy to use his organizational, communications and creative talents to enrich the LBSRS community.
