Lori Skope

Communications Director

After earning her BBA degree with a concentration in marketing from the George Washington University’s School of Business, Lori got to work building brands. She has grown the bottom line for global brands such as Hershey’s, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Honda, Duraflame, and supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio’s lifestyle brand, alé by Alessandra. In her various roles, she launched and built brands by crafting core brand positioning, marketing and communications strategies, as well as executing key marketing initiatives and negotiating partnership alliances.

In this new digital world, the scope of Lori’s expertise expanded into social media management, website optimization, content development, graphic design and digital marketing. Over the last decade, Lori developed a consultancy business, and her client roster shifted to include companies in the event, medical, television production, software app, interior design and non-profit organizations (to name a few). Translating the best practices of building global corporate brands, she became the outsourced mastermind behind the marketing initiatives of small to medium sized businesses with a more specialized and localized target audience.

Lori took on the role of PJTC’s Director of Communications at the beginning of 2020 with the goals of enriching PJTC community experiences, increasing member engagement, and building brand awareness in the greater Pasadena community for the sake of growing support and membership of PJTC. She manages the planning and execution of our email communications, social media, website development, promotional materials and special branding and marketing initiatives. Lori finds fulfilment in finding ways to add value for our members and bring our community together and LOVES when our community members comment on social posts (so keep ‘em coming!).

When she is not helping PJTC or her other clients, Lori can generally be found with her husband and two sons. They love to be outdoors together, whether that be playing sports, barbequing and swimming in their backyard or hiking a nearby trail with their golden retrievers, Tim Riggins and Mookie Wilson. In her “spare time” she loves doing PlyoJam (dance cardio workout), tending to her backyard chickens, and [continuing to try] teaching herself how to play the guitar.
